it is a joy to meet you

Hi, I’m Meredith!

Life can be overwhelming. It is frustrating when you are doing everything ā€œrightā€ and still struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression or relationship breakdown. The cycle of emotional highs and lows, feeling exhausted, and desperately needing a sense of peace gets tiring and lonely. I have worked with numerous individuals, couples, and teens to create authentic happiness, relief, and a deep satisfaction with life. By providing a space to mentally unpack and explore what is under the surface of your issues, you can experience healing and freedom from anxiety, depression, and other interpersonal limitations. After experiencing the transformative experience of my own therapy and finally getting to the root of my mental health and relationship symptoms, I decided that I wanted to help others in the become the healthy, whole versions of themselves. I believe that every person should be in therapy at some point in their life. So if you’re considering it, why not make it now?

our relationship

I value my relationship with my clients above all else. In fact, one of the most reliable predictors of the success of therapy is the strength of the relationship between the client and the therapist. I draw upon extensive expertise and knowledge, but most importantly, a deep respect and care for each client’s individual experience.

The goal of the therapy process is ultimately for you to become the best version of yourself. 757 therapy uses an integrated approach to therapy, meaning several different evidence-based practices, to guide clients towards their desired goals.

Clients who click with me

Not every therapist will fit your vibe. I tend to work well with self-reflective and highly-motivated individuals. I see myself as a strength-trainer who will compassionately challenge you and push you out of your emotional comfort zone. Every session we have will be an opportunity to learn, grow, and make meaningful life change. I tend to click with folks who embrace change and lean into doing the hard work.

more about me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and 757 native. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University in 2021. I built 757 therapy as a Hampton Roads based mental health practice for those who have tried it all and want to find a new way forward.

When I’m not doing therapy, I am a mom to a border collie, a brown tabby cat, a baby, and a toddler. I have been married to my college sweetheart for 10 years. I love spending time on the beach with friends and trying new coffee shops around town.
