A cozy living room with a beige sofa, throw pillows, a white armchair with a blanket, a round marble coffee table with tissue box, a tall floor lamp, a potted plant, framed certificates or diplomas on a wall shelf, and decorative wall art.

I’ll never forget the anticipation and anxiety I felt at my own first therapy appointment. What do I talk about? How much detail do I share? What happens if I cry?

That’s why it is my mission to make your experience comfortable, enjoyable, and worthwhile. I know how hard it is like to spill your guts to a stranger.

Therapy was the first place I could truly unpack the issues in my life and look at them in a new way. I gained an understanding myself and learned to communicate effectively. I want the same for each of my clients, a truly life changing experience.

What my clients are saying

Clients tell me they come to me when they:

  • feel stuck in life despite doing all the “right” things

  • struggle with high-functioning anxiety

  • are in a relationship that needs meaningful repair, not just a quick fix

Clients say they are leaving therapy with:

  • reduced anxiety, and better coping tools for managing anxious feelings

  • stronger self-trust and self-esteem

  • improved communication and relationship dynamics

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?

I understand life happens. I allow a one-time cancellation per time working together. After that, I charge a full session fee ($150) per session cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours. You may always inquire whether there is an option to meet virtually if you are unable to attend an in-person session.

What is your confidentiality policy?

Your session content and all relevant materials to treatment will be held confidential unless the client requests in writing to have content released to a specifically named person, such as another medical provider. There are a very few limitations of client held privilege of confidentiality, such as harm to oneself or others. In the case of minors, confidentiality is equally as important and is discussed with parents/guardians in advance of treatment.

How can I prepare for my first session?

If you want to make a change in your life, the simple answer is to start where you are. Therapy is a powerful tool that can benefit anyone who wants to improve their quality of life and all that is needed to prepare is yourself exactly as you are.

We have found that while there are a number of factors that make therapy successful, the most important one is you, the client. It takes courage, commitment, and vulnerability to get the most out of therapy. So if you are ready to learn more about yourself, overcome barriers, develop healthier habits, and improve relationships, get in touch.

What can I expect from a couples session?

Your first few sessions will give you, your partner, and your therapist an opportunity to get to know each other and determine if you are a good fit and if couples therapy is appropriate. You will be asked some questions about your background and goals for therapy. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the therapy process, as well as discuss a plan for treatment. If for some reason you and your therapist are not the right fit, you will be provided with trusted referrals.
